Max von Wels
Global Entrepreneur in Residence
Max von Wels is the co-founder of Life Magnetics, a biotech company developing next-generation delivery vectors for RNA therapeutics. He leads the company’s commercial strategy and partnerships, aligning product development with market needs and expanding its diagnostics and cell transfection portfolio. Originally from Germany, Max earned his Master’s in Business from the Rotterdam School of Management (cum laude, KPMG Thesis Award) and came to the U.S. through an MBA-level exchange at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. His background includes business development roles at biotech startups such as Peptinovo Biopharma and StabiLux Biosciences, as well as work with an early-stage venture capital fund. At Global Detroit, Max supports immigrant tech founders through the Global Entrepreneur in Residence program, helping them build and scale high-impact startups in Michigan.
