Originally from Albania, Petro brings a global perspective shaped by his background in public service, civic advocacy, and strategic communications. At Global Detroit, he plays a key role in evaluating workforce development programs—particularly those focused on international students—and translating findings into compelling narratives that resonate with partners, policymakers, and the broader community. His commitment to inclusive economic development extends internationally through his role as a Board Member for Civic Resistance, an Albanian civil society organization promoting transparency and local economic growth. Petro is a Rotary International Award Fellow and a member of Phi Kappa Phi, one of the oldest and most selective academic honor societies in the U.S. He is deeply committed to advancing equitable opportunities and building economies that recognize the vital contributions of immigrants.
