Opportunity Neighborhoods Program Manager

Nicholas, or Nico, Hill is a longtime Detroit resident and community advocate who brings deep experience and a human-centered approach to Global Detroit’s Opportunity Neighborhoods team. Prior to joining Global Detroit, he worked with several of the city’s most impactful organizations, including Gleaners Community Food Bank, Jefferson East, Inc., and Freedom House Detroit, and served in the Peace Corps in Mexico from 2017 to 2020, an experience that continues to shape his work. An invested member of Detroit’s North End, Nico is passionate about equitable development and strengthening the neighborhoods he calls home, and he’s always eager to collaborate with others committed to building a more vibrant, inclusive Detroit.
