Our second awardee for Global Detroit’s flagship event, Tapestry, is Manish Senta, who is being recognized for our Corporate Leadership award. This award goes to a corporate entity that, importantly, champions inclusive practices and immigrant inclusion as part of their work.
This year, besides the Corporate Leadership award, we are also excited to present the Emerging Talent, Community Entrepreneur, and the Immigrant Impact awards, respectively. And while we approach Tapestry this year, we thought to dig deeper into each awardee’s story and company– in effort to go beyond recognition and give a platform for potential new partnerships for these amazing Changemakers. So as part of these four stories, we invite you to explore what each awardee and venture is all about and consider their services and unique products.
Manish Senta, our Corporate Leadership awardee, is an immigrant, originally from India, who began his journey in the United States in 2005. He has encountered many life-changing experiences– from earning a STEM degree to navigating the complexities of immigration, and ultimately, building a multi-million dollar global business alongside his brothers. Today, their business operates in countries such as the USA, Canada, the UK, the UAE, Portugal, Australia, and India.
And if thats not enough corporate acumen for you, as part of this interview Manish confidently stated, “we are just getting started.”

What role do you believe corporate entities should play in fostering immigrant inclusion within their communities?
“Corporations hold the power to drive meaningful change if they choose to do so. Immigrant inclusion cannot succeed without their active participation. By partnering with companies like TekWissen, businesses can help bridge this gap, gaining the advantages of diverse experiences, cultural awareness, and the innovation that immigrants bring.
This process begins with education—both internally and externally—engaging various stakeholders, launching creative pilot programs, and measuring the positive impact immigrant talent can have on their operations. TekWissen is ideally positioned to support this journey, but it requires businesses to lean in and actively participate.”
Can you share a personal story of how your work in promoting inclusion has impacted you?
“As an immigrant who navigated the complexities of F1, H1B, and PERM sponsorship, I experienced firsthand how challenging and inefficient the process can be due to a lack of awareness. To help address these challenges, I actively engage in various platforms to raise awareness and, most recently, launched the TekWissen Foundation. One of its core pillars is focused on talent upskilling and workforce integration. My commitment to creating equitable and fair opportunities for immigrants is deeply rooted in my own journey as an international student.”
What are some specific initiatives or programs your company has implemented to support immigrant inclusion?
“TekWissen has partnered with clients to raise awareness and implement pilot programs that tap into this skilled talent pool. These initiatives have not only helped clients address talent shortages but also allowed them to benefit from the unique expertise these individuals bring. Clients have praised the problem-solving abilities, work ethic, technical knowledge, and, most importantly, the collaborative spirit fostered by this talent.”
What challenges have you encountered in promoting inclusion, and how have you overcome them?
“This highlights the crucial role corporations play in immigrant inclusion. I’m still surprised by how many companies view the process as tedious, unreliable, and overly complicated. However, with the right intention, proper training, and a trusted partnership with TekWissen, we can guide them through the process and be a reliable partner on this journey toward immigrant inclusion.”
