On July 15, we celebrated the graduation of 11 international students from our inaugural Global Talent Accelerator. These hardworking students, with degrees (or soon-to-be completed degrees) from bachelor’s to Ph.D, spent the summer attending interactive workshops on pitching, resume writing, networking, business etiquette and other important professional skills, and visiting some of metro Detroit’s leading companies, including StockX, OpTech, LinkedIn and Quicken Loans. And their work isn’t finished! Global Detroit will continue to connect these promising students and graduates to Southeast Michigan employers through meet-and-greets and other networking events. Many of our graduates, with STEM, business and marketing degrees, are actively seeking internships or full-time employment in Southeast Michigan.
